Tip 1: Free admission to museums

Many museums in the Aarhus Region, and indeed throughout Denmark, offer free admission for children and young people under the age of 18.

Tip 3: Buy an annual pass for one place and get discounts at many other places

If you buy an annual pass to one of the major museums, you often get great benefits included in the price. Many offer discounts of up to 50% to many other attractions around Denmark. You can see the benefits if you buy an annual pass to

Example:
Annual pass to Den Gamle By gives 50% discount to Ree Park Safari, Randers Regnskov, AQUA Aquarium and Zoo, Hjerl Hede, Jesperhus Blomsterpark, Givskud Zoo Vadehavscentret, Egeskov Castle, Koldinghus etc. Data is from June 2024 (please note that the benefit programme may change).

Tip 4: Buy a pass for art and history in Silkeborg

In Silkeborg you can buy a ticket that gives you access to three attractions based on the principle: Get three, but only pay for two. The ticket is valid for one admission to each of the three museums within three months from the date of issue.

Tip 5: Travel freely in Aarhus

With a Day Ticket Aarhus you can travel freely for a whole day in Aarhus Municipality (zones 301 to 313). The ticket is valid until 23:59 on the day of purchase. Each adult can bring two children under the age of 12 for free. The ticket is valid for buses and the Light Rail. It cannot be used on night buses, DSB and GoCollective trains and airport buses.

Tip 6: Travel freely in the Central Denmark Region

With the Central Denmark Region Day Ticket you can travel freely for a whole day in the Central Denmark Region. The ticket is valid until 23:59 on the day of purchase. Each adult can take two children under the age of 12 free of charge. The ticket is valid for buses, Letbanen and Midtjyske Jernbaner. It cannot be used on night buses, DSB and GoCollective trains and airport buses.
