Them Fortidssamling
The museum is open on the first Saturday of the month and by calling +45 51 25 97 64. The museum is housed in an 18th century half-timbered building and mainly contains objects from the area, dating right back from the Stone Age to the present day. Clog making, which took place at the farm, is particularly well-represented.
The museum has preserved many of the old household items. The area was poor and things were not replaced until absolutely necessary, and they now tell of a life far removed from today’s abundant living. There is also a smaller exhibition at Østervang 1, DK-8654 Bryrup. It is open every Monday from 1 pm – 5 pm. The exhibition provides some insight into the development of the area from the Ice Age to the present day.
