Sigurd the Troll
On Djursland, you can find the sculpture named Sigurd, who is one of the hidden troll sculptures each with a story to tell. Go see if you can find him – and find out Sigurd’s particular story.
Wood Art and Trolls by artist Thomas Dambo
The story behind the sculpture and the troll Sigurd can be found in a lovely poem called 'Sigurd, The Bird and The Red Thing,' which you can read by clicking on the Sigurd page, or you can listen to it being recited by the artist Thomas Dambo in the video on this page.
In short, one day a bird flew out to Sigurd and asked for help, as a red thing was scaring the birds. Sigurd went with the bird to help, and let's just say that Sigurd solved the problem and probably doesn't regret to this day that he decided to help.
