Nature Camps Ørnbjerg Mølle

Spend the night in shelters or tents at Ørnbjerg Mølle in Djursland.

Shelters

South of the mill there are two shelters on the slope with beautiful views and evening sun. Shelter no. 1 can be booked on the Danish Nature Agency's website under accommodation. Shelter no. 2 cannot be booked, so this is on a first come, first served basis. Take your rubbish with you when you leave the site.

Tent pitches

There are two tent pitches at the mill. These are the only ones where you can pitch a tent. The largest is located about 200 metres west of the road that passes by the shelters. It is a natural tent site that can accommodate around 30 people. A tent sign opposite the shelters shows the way. A smaller site is located on the rhododendron island.

Campfire sites

It is very important that you only light fires at the campfire sites!
There are fire pits in the old courtyard, on the rhododendron island and in the two fire ponds in front of the shelters.

Firewood

Sometimes there is firewood behind the shed on site, but if you want to be absolutely sure, bring your own firewood. If you see that firewood is missing or that there is only a little left, you are welcome to send a text message to the National Park 72 17 07 14.

Drinking water

There is a drinking water tap in the old courtyard in the north-eastern corner by the National Board of Nature's posters. You can use a foot pedal to tap drinking water all year round, even in freezing weather.

Toilet

A primitive but accessible toilet is located in the small, black wooden house by the old courtyard. A signpost shows the way.
