The Langenæs Church
The increasing number of inhabitants in Aarhus made new church-building activity necessary, and one of the results was the construction of The Langenæs Church in 1966.
Culture, music and community
Here you can experience both traditional church services and modern activities in a building that buzzes with life all year round. The church serves as an active cultural centre with concerts, lectures and events for all ages. Here you can take part in choirs, communal meals and social activities that create a sense of community and togetherness.
Architecture and history
Langenæskirken was designed by Arne Gravers and Johan Richter, and was built with money raised through several door-to-door collections in 1966.
The city church combines functionality and simplicity with a strong visual expression. The church space offers beautiful light and artistic details that invite reflection.
