Clausholm Castle is a Baroque castle in scenic surroundings between Aarhus and Randers. The castle is decorated by a number of the most talented and recognised European artists of the time, including the Italian artist Carlo Tagliati, who in 1697 completed the lavishly decorated ceiling in the Garden Hall.
The castle has the largest number of stucco ceilings in Northern Europe, and in 1993 it received the Europa Nostra Award for the restoration of the castle and park.
