Gjerrildbanestien Trail from Ryomgård to Gjerrild
Start your journey in Ryomgård in Djursland and hike along the 28 km stretch of scenic trail to Gjerrild. The trail runs where the old railway tracks used to go up until 1956.
In the year 2000, the trail was declared a protected area and is now open to hikers and cyclists.
Whether you start out your journey in Ryomgård or you end it there, the railway museum Djurslands Jernbanemuseum is well worth a visit; here, you will learn about Djursland’s railway history.
Leaving Ryomgård, you can continue your journey along yet another railway trail, namely the one stretching from Ryomgård to Allingåbro.
