DCU Camping Viborg Sø

DCU Camping Viborg Sø is a wonderful oasis by the lake Viborg Sø in scenic Central Jutland. Within walking distance of shops and cosy eateries, you can easily combine nature and city life. The campsite is also an ideal base for excursions to the area's beautiful nature and nearby towns.

Stay close to Viborg Lake and within walking distance of Viborg city centre

Follow the path along the lake to the city centre where you'll find many cosy eateries, great shopping opportunities and the impressive Viborg Cathedral. Right by the campsite, garden lovers can also visit Forstbotanisk Have and Nordisk Park.

Activities for the kids

The campsite has well-maintained facilities and plenty of fun for the kids. They can play on the nice playground with bouncy castles, play mini golf, beach volleyball or ride the mooncar track. There's also a fire pit and a jetty in the lake.

Great experiences nearby

Just 15 minutes away you'll find Mønsted Kalkgruber, the world's largest limestone mine. If you drive the other way, you can visit the World Map at Klejtrup, where the whole family can ‘walk around the world’ in a short time.

Good hiking and cycling routes

Viborg and the surrounding area offers many good hiking and cycling routes, and Camping Viborg Sø is a perfect starting point for an active holiday with both family and friends. See selected routes here.

Excursions to Himmelbjerget and the Limfjord

In less than an hour you can reach Himmelbjerget near Silkeborg, known as the Outdoor Capital of Denmark, where you can both swim and experience the cosy town. To the north, the Limfjord awaits with fantastic viewpoints. There are plenty of opportunities for great experiences both at and close to the campsite.

If you prefer a little more comfort on your holiday, you can rent a cabin with room for four people, a kitchenette and a loft. The cabin is available for overnight stays from March to October.
