The Craft Museum Håndværksmuseet

The Craft Museum contains a large collection of complete wokshops with workshop material and tools. The visitors may in an interesting manner experience the provincial town's old trades and acquire an educational insight into the best Danish trade traditions.

The Craft Museum houses an extensive collection of tools, machines, and similar items, primarily gathered between 1900 and 1950. The exhibitions in the Craft Museum are set up as reconstructions of the workshops for various trades, showing how they might have looked from the late 1800s to around 1950.

From 2024 to 2027, the Craft Museum will undergo modernization so that in 2027 it can reopen with new, modern exhibitions and even more opportunities for active participation. It is possible to visit the Craft Museum until April 1, 2025, but some floors will be closed to visitors.
