Christmas for lords and servants 1918
Experience the special exhibition Christmas for Masters and Servants 1918 in the manor's halls and chambers. See the decorated Christmas trees and set tables as they looked for both lords and servants. And get into the Christmas spirit when the parlours and halls are decorated especially for the festive season.
Visit the Forester's House in Lunden and see how the forester's family spent Christmas around 1930.
In the Manor House Kitchen, the maid is hard at work getting ready for Christmas. Every day you can follow the baking in the large wood-burning stove according to the original 100-year-old recipes of housekeeper Ottilie Olesen and buy yourself a delicious Christmas pastry or a cup of coffee from Madam Blå.
Kids love Christmas
- Let the kids follow the Christmas trail around the house, where they will experience the story of Christmas for masters and servants at child's height.
- They can also make their own historical Christmas decorations at the cutting table in the parlour and help decorate the Count's Christmas tree.
- During the Advent weekends there will be extra activities
On all Advent weekends, the Christmas spirit is turned up a notch with a children's baking workshop, Christmas concerts and sales of Christmas trees, home-baked apple slices and more.
