Can I take my dog, bike and pram on the bus?
Yes, you can! In Aarhus it's easy to get around, even when you have a little extra on your journey. Whether it's your four-legged friend, bicycle or pram, there's room for it on the city buses. Here's an overview of how it works.
Bikes, e-bikes, folding bikes and scooters
You can take a bicycle, electric bike, folding bike or scooter on all city buses, except in Aarhus, if there is space in the bus flex area. If the space is occupied, you will have to wait for the next bus.
Bikes and scooters must be left in the flex area, where you must fasten them in the harnesses. Bringing bicycles is at your own risk. There is space for max. 2 bikes.
The flex area will be shared with prams, wheelchairs and the like on a first-come, first-served basis.
You can search in the Journey Planner Rejseplanen to see if you can bring your bike, this is done by going to ‘customise search’, select bike and walking options, tick the box next to ‘I need to bring a bikecycle’.

Prams, pushchairs and wheelchairs
You can take a pram, stroller or walker on the bus, Letbanen or Midtjyske Jernbaner free of charge if there is space for it and boarding and alighting is not disturbed. The driver's judgement of the space conditions applies.

Buy your ticket BEFORE travelling
In the Aarhus Region and the entire Central Region, you need to buy your ticket for buses and Light Rail in advance. You can do this via Midttrafik's webshop or by using Rejsekortet.
